The Thai Sala & Swimming Pool Area

A meal at The Eugenia Hotel & Spa usually gives us the impression of private luxury dining indoors with antique furniture and a vintage backdrop, either in the intimate D.B. Bradley Dining Room or the more relaxed oriental setting of the Zheng He Lounge. When visiting The Eugenia, you also have 2 more options for indoor dining such as the private library area that is quite suitable for Afternoon Tea and the private section of the Zheng He Lounge that can seat around 10 people.

Although spending a day in and appreciating the classic interior design is always a good idea for some tranquil enjoyment, some may want a slight change of atmosphere with outdoor dining minus the exposure to roadside pollution and noise.

You can escape from the urban chaos but still enjoy an outdoor atmosphere in the city by lounging in the swimming pool area with the Thai Sala. Here, you will get a more laid-back setting than you would in the D.B. Bradley Dining Room that seems to be more suitable for parties and special occasions. The swimming pool is also rather unique in its green tiles giving the water an illusion of a green hue rather than the typical blue swimming pool you would find elsewhere. And of course, you can’t miss out the Thai Sala which allows relaxation in a very green and natural ambiance by still being in the private and peaceful confines of the hotel.

In case you’re wondering what a Thai Sala is, the Thai Sala was originally constructed as a meeting place to protect people from the sun and rain and are traditionally found in Buddhist temples, although it can also be found in other places as well. Traditionally known for either religious practices in temples or relaxation from the harsh sun or rain for local pedestrians, lounging at the Thai Sala will allow you to come into contact with part of the local culture.

You don’t even have to order full meals to recline in this relaxing atmosphere. You could alternatively choose to snack and chill with friends with either the previously mentioned Afternoon Tea set from 2.30 – 5.30 pm (THB 350++ for the single set and THB 420++ for the couple set) where you can indulge in a set of assorted mini sweet desserts and pastries in accompaniment to some soothing hot tea or enjoy a new and awesome feature that The Eugenia also has, which is the Shisha at THB 500++ per tobacco with strawberry, apple and mint flavors.

A unique outdoor lounging venue, The Eugenia Hotel & Spa is a serene resting spot for those who are looking for luxurious comfort yet not the typical setting of an indoor lounge in a busy hotel lobby. Feel free to pop by the hotel for private gatherings or call +66-2-259-9011 to contact the planning team if you are looking to host any parties.
